Drug safety is critical for the use of any therapeutic agent.
Based on our laboratory results, cisplatin is a commonly used anticancer agent, but its use is limited by its toxicity. It suppressed the growth &/or kills 50% of tumors cells at a dose that is ~7 microM.
BRG drugs deliver two ingredients.
(1)The major one is FDA-approved as the active form of an older, cell protective agent.
(2)The other ingredient is a common drug conjugate used in FDA-approved drugs.
Based on our laboratory results, BRG-4 did not achieve IC50 level effects (it did not suppress the growth or kill) 50% of normal (primary) cells at the highest doses that could be dissolved.
